I
breed only selectively, usually only one litter a year.
I am
extremely particular about who purchases my puppies. Each new puppy owner
must pass an extensive interview. Whether the pups are used as
working companions, show or obedience competitors, or are
simply couch potatoes, I want them to be part of a family. Are you sure a Rottweiler
is right for you? Please read the ARC
Rottweiler
FAQ before
going any further. Please read
carefully:
-
Puppies are sold only to pre-qualified (screened) purchasers. All puppy
buyers are required to fill out a questionnaire.
-
Deposits are taken on all
planned litters. The amount of the deposit is equal to 20 percent of
the total purchase price. Once your deposit is received, your puppy is
then considered "off the market" and other buyers will be placed
on a waiting list for a future litter or referred elsewhere. Deposits are non-refundable, unless the puppy is not available
for delivery at 8 weeks of age.
-
For safety and security reasons,
we would like you to have a fenced
yard for your Rottweiler. A fence of at least 5-foot height
or above is preferred. Electronic fencing or 4-foot fencing will
usually qualify, only if it is located in an urban setting, and not in a busy
residential area.
-
If able, we'll usually schedule
a visit to approve your current dog set-up, as well perform reference checks
as deemed appropriate.
-
I require that all puppies/dogs sold will be
indoor dogs, as we want them to be part of your family.
-
General health is guaranteed. Other guarantees & stipulations are
stated in our Sales Contracts:
Show/Breeding
Prospect Sales Contract
Companion/Pet
Sales Contract
-
Puppy's temperaments are evaluated
at 7 weeks of age using the Puppy Aptitude
Test and matched with families whose
lifestyles and desires are compatible with the evaluation results.
-
Companion/pet-quality puppies are sold on
Limited
Registration and I require them to be spayed/neutered.
-
Prior to taking the puppy home you will be given information on training and care of
your puppy and a list of the proper equipment and supplies to obtain prior to bringing
your puppy home.
-
At the time you purchase your puppy you will be given a completed sales agreement, a copy of the
puppy's AKC papers, parent's OFA certifications, the
puppy's health records, as well as
any suggested feeding/vaccination schedules and puppy care info.
-
Once a new puppy owner leaves
with their new puppy, I feel the relationship has not ended, but just
begun, as I am always here to help you, and answer any questions you may
have. I always enjoy receiving updates on the pup's progress!
