Von Wertz's High Hopes "Chase"Welcome to the new online home of Von Wertz Rottweilers! I have been a Rottweiler owner and breeder for over 25 years. I am also an AKC conformation judge of Rottweilers, Boxers and Dobermans with permit status in  Kuvasz.

As life changes sometimes dictate, my free time became limited in 2004, not allowing me to devote the time needed to breeding and raising another litter. This away time actually was a ‘blessing in disguise’ as it allowed me to truly appreciate my current dogs as they were going through their senior years. There is nothing like owning a Rottweiler – experiencing the playful puppy period, wild adolescent periods, and adulthood, but the one period that is most endearing is once a Rottweiler reaches 7-8 years of age. There is something about growing older yourself with your Rottweiler and I wouldn’t have given up anything in order to fully experience this journey with them.

I am now entering a new chapter in Rottweilers – ‘starting over’ so to speak, after my last senior Gundy was put to rest in 2013. Starting over with two Rottweiler girls, whom have proven themselves in the conformation ring as well passing necessary health clearances.

Partners for Healthy LongevityMy hope is for all my dogs and those puppies produced to have healthy longevity.  I am proud to support and be a charter member of Partners for Healthy Longevity directed by Dr. David Waters and the Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have owned some very special dogs. The Rottweilers of the past have made my attachment to this breed even stronger. Whether you find yourself looking for a Rottweiler for the first time, or are looking to add another one to your family, I believe you will find there is no breed like the Rottweiler!
